Polycrystalline Alumina Fiber Blanket is manufactured using the "Sol-Gel" colloidal method to be a micro-crystalline mullite-based high temperature refractory fiber, by a high temperature calcination process. It is made from alumina fiber with double punching and it doesn´t contains additives or other ingredients.
High Temperature Resistance:
One of the standout features of the polycrystalline mullite fiber blanket is its ability to withstand extremely high temperatures, typically up to 1600°C (2912°F), making it ideal for high-temperature industrial applications.
Low Thermal Conductivity:
It provides superb insulation due to its low thermal conductivity. This helps in maintaining energy efficiency in high-temperature processes by minimizing heat loss.
Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance:
The blanket resists degradation under rapid temperature changes, which is critical in processes involving abrupt heating and cooling cycles.
Chemical Stability:
It exhibits strong resistance to chemical attacks, especially from acids and alkalis, and does not degrade in harsh chemical environments.
Lightweight and Flexible:
Despite its robustness, the blanket is lightweight and flexible, which allows for easy installation and handling, fitting into various geometrical configurations.
Long Service Life:
Its inherent material properties ensure a longer service life compared to other fiber materials, reducing the need for frequent replacements and maintenance.
Industrial Furnaces and Kilns:
It is widely used as an insulation material in high-temperature furnaces, kilns, and reactors where superior heat insulation is necessary to maintain process efficiency and protect equipment.
Aerospace Industry:
In aerospace, it is used to insulate components that are exposed to extreme heat during operations, such as engines and exhaust systems.
Glass Manufacturing:
The blanket serves as an effective insulator in glass melting tanks and other parts of the glass manufacturing process, where controlling and retaining heat is crucial.
Ceramics Industry:
It is used in ceramic kilns to ensure uniform heat distribution and to protect the structure of the kilns from intense heat.
Energy Sector:
In the energy sector, polycrystalline mullite fiber blankets are used in power generation units, particularly in high-temperature insulation of boilers and steam turbines.
Petrochemical Processes:
Its thermal and chemical stability makes it suitable for insulation in petrochemical plants, where it helps in maintaining the integrity of the processes and safety.
